Rose Brand's 29'-6" wide Weave C bobbinette, our version of “opera net”, has an opening that is closer to round than to the traditional hex-shaped openings of our other bobbinette weaves. This special weave provides a more stable weave than the hex-woven bobbinettes. Bobbinettes have a more open weave than Sharkstooth Scrim or Square Gauze. These various weaves give designers a range of light transmission values to create depth, and to give a soft & hazy look to images. Often used in combination with Sharkstooth Scrims, or in front of rear projection screens to reduce glare and increase contrast.
