Rose Brand Celebrates 50th Anniversary of USITT with Donations

Rose Brand will help celebrate the 50th Anniversary of USITT by donating three 7’ x 12’ theatrical drops along with scenic supplies such as sprayers, kraft and bogus papers, and assorted supplies. Six United Scenic Artists from Local 829 will be painting the large scenic drops on Center Stage at the heart of Stage Expo to be held in Kansas City, Missouri March 29-April 2. As part of the 50th anniversary celebration of USITT, there will be special events each day of the conference on Center Stage.

On Thursday, April 1st, starting in the morning and continuing all day, artists Roberto Gallo, Christine Skubish, Laura McPherson, and Scott Loebl will lay out and paint 3 pieces consisting of a foliage drop, a forced perspective drop and a 50th anniversary celebration drop. Attendees will be able to watch from the viewing areas as well as from an overhead camera providing close-up views of the exquisite details as they develop.

Rose Brand’s booth at the Stage Expo, # 1160 will feature specialty fabrics, curtain motors and track as well as LED Star Drops.
